Aotearoa is at COVID-19 Alert Level 2 (with Auckland at Level 3) - get more info on how this affects our services

Please test for HIV and other STIs before having sex outside your bubbles in level 2. We can break the chain of transmission for more than one epidemic with this lockdown.

NZAF has a vision of an Aotearoa with zero HIV transmission, where people living with or affected by HIV flourish, and a mission to prevent transmission, reduce stigma and maximise the wellbeing of those most affected by HIV.

We're here to help. Our HIV prevention programmes, testing, counselling and support services are accessed by thousands of Kiwis every day.

Our HIV Prevention Programmes

Our HIV prevention programmes are entrenched in community. Our passionate team work with the people most affected by HIV in New Zealand to inspire actions that prevent new transmissions.

Ending HIV is NZAF’s HIV prevention campaign that aims to mobilise gay and bisexual men toward the goal of ending new HIV transmissions by 2025.

Pamoja is an HIV prevention and support programme for Africans, by Africans, living in Aotearoa New Zealand. The programme aims to encourage safer sex, regular testing and provide support for people who are living with HIV. It does this by empowering the community in a culturally appropriate way.
