NZAF was born out of the gay rights movement in the early 1980s. Almost 30 years later, fighting alongside gay and bisexual men for the right to live happy, healthy and HIV free lives is still core to our work.
Gay and bisexual men are the population group most affected by HIV in New Zealand. We are working hard to reduce the impact this virus has on the GLBTI community and consideration for this sector underpins everything we do. From a dedicated and world-leading science department looking into the HIV epidemic in relation to gay and bisexual men, to a world-changing social marketing and behavioural change programme, we’ve got gay and bisexual men covered.
