Donate your tax rebate

Did you know that your donations are tax deductible? Claiming your tax and donating it back to NZAF is a fantastic way to make your donation go further.

For example, if you donate $100 you are eligible to claim $33. Donating this to NZAF makes your gift worth $133.

How do I transfer my tax rebate to NZAF?

  1. Fill in the IR526 form after March 31st
  2. In BOX 9, enter the name "New Zealand AIDS Foundation" and the bank account details 01 1839 0318991 000. (We've done this for you already).
  3. Staple your receipts to the back of the form (we'll send you a receipt for your donations to NZAF in April).
  4. Send your completed IR 526 form with receipts to IRD. Find the office closest to you.

Let us know when you've donated your rebate - either by phone or email - we'd love to hear from you!

What happens next?

The rebate will be transferred to NZAF's IRD number and then paid out to NZAF's bank account, helping us to prevent HIV transmissions and support people living with HIV.

Can I get a receipt from NZAF?

Yes, we can provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for the rebate you transfer to NZAF and you can claim a further rebate on this amount next year. Email us at [email protected] with: your name, IRD number, address and the amount transferred (Inland Revenue do not provide us with name and address details). We will receipt these funds in your name when they arrive, enabling you to claim a further tax credit next year.
