As a psychotherapist working at NZAF, I am often enlightened and delighted with the sharing of experiences and life stories my clients bring to our sessions and the journey they allow themselves to embark on with me; truly humbling.
After completing my Masters of Health Science in Adult Psychotherapy and acquiring full registration as a psychotherapist in 2009, I established my own private practice alongside working at the Burnett Centre for a year before moving to London for three years. On my return to Auckland at the beginning of 2015, I resumed my position with the Burnett Centre offering psychotherapy and HIV/STI testing.
Throughout our sessions, I hope to provide a safe, confidential and respectful space where my clients feel able to share their story and their life journey without feeling judged or criticised. As part of our work together, I would like to inspire my clients to understand, and make sense of, their presenting issues or conflicts through understanding and acknowledging their past.
