The Love Life4 Fono will have a strong emphasis on bringing together young people and sexual minority groups most at risk of HIV, including mahu, vakasalewalewa, palopa, fa’afafine, akava’ine, fakaleiti, and fakafifine. Participants will be invited from both New Zealand-based Pacific communities and Pacific nations.
The fono will provide a safe, inclusive environment to discuss emerging issues around HIV prevention and health equity, will increase knowledge and will help leaders develop the skills needed to be safe sex champions within their communities.
Whom: Young Pacific people from sexual minority groups most at risk of HIV in New Zealand.
When: Thursday, 17 – Sunday, 20 November 2011
Where: Makaurau Marae, Ihumatao, Auckland.
