The first of these events was a Garden Party held in Averbury House, in Christchurch. Staff from NZAF South/Te Toka joined with past and present volunteers, staff and members to acknowledge their support over the last quarter century.
Many staff and volunteers from the early days of the NZAF attended. Laura Jones, NZAF Regional Manager Central and South thanked everyone there, remarking “your passion and commitment bolster the work that we do.”
Special tributes were given to those who we have lost over the past 25 years, including Rodger Wright, Bruce Burnet, Aaron McDonald and David Milne.
The NZAF will be holding more events to mark 25 years of our history over the next year. They'll be announced here, or you can read more about the Wellington and Auckland garden parties here.
