A trial that showed antiretroviral treatment to be 96% effective in reducing sexual transmission of HIV is being closely examined by the New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) for its potential to make a difference here.

New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) staff and volunteers will sashay, stumble and stomp to Caluzzi Bar and Cabaret where Shaun Robinson, NZAF Executive Director, will be presented with a giant, camp cheque from the owners of Caluzzi, Urge and Lola Bar for the proceeds of the Get it On! Big Gay Out Beer Garden and Dance Tent.

The NZAF is 25 years old this year. To mark this milestone, we are holding a series of events across the country (we will be announcing them over the year here).

The NZAF HIV Update 2010 is the most up to date overview of the HIV epidemic in New Zealand currently available. It is updated regularly.
