Hi, my name is Kate and I am a counsellor based at the Burnett Centre four days a week. While I draw on various modalities and work with elements of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, and interactive drawing therapy, my prime approach is client centred which means the way we work together and appropriate strategies we use are guided by individual context and need. I bring with me a deep level of compassion and respect for people and my focus is on providing a confidential and nurturing space where individuals feel heard, acknowledged and supported in their journey towards creating constructive changes in their life.
I hold a B.Ed., PGDip Couns and Masters in Couns (Distinction) and am a member of the NZAC (New Zealand Association of Counsellors)
