High profile New Zealanders and supporters of The New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) have been the focus of international attention as they launched a new UN department dedicated to challenging legal hurdles to HIV justice and equality.

The New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) has warmly welcomed the announcement, by PHARMAC, that it is seeking feedback on a proposal to widen access to government funded antiretroviral medications.

The New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) has joined with Wellington Sexual Health Services to provide a full sexual health screening service for men at the NZAF Āwhina Centre in Wellington. The weekly Sexual Health Clinics will take place every Wednesday between 4pm and 7pm.

The NZAF Burnett Centre offers full mens' Sexual Health Screening in association with Auckland Sexual Health. The Sexual Health Screening service operates Monday 5pm to 8pm.

Women living with HIV in Zimbabwe are taking to the soccer pitch to fight misconceptions and stigma about HIV and AIDS. The project began in December, and enough women have joined to organise competitions among 16 teams. Over the last year a commitment has been made to having greater input from people living with HIV in the planning and review of services delivered by NZAF Positive Health Services. This will enhance the ongoing relationship the NZAF has with HIV peer support organisations and the contribution of staff living with HIV within the NZAF.
